Wire-Cut EDMs can cut plates as thick as 300 mm and are ideal for creating punches, tools and dies from exotic hard metals that are difficult to machine with conventional methods. They can machine complex geometric forms with tooling wear and absolute consistency since there is no contact between the cutting wire and the work piece surface. Parts formed through the Wire EDM process can be used immediately in assembly, with little or no additional finishing.
