CHEVALIER’s UNi5X-800 VMCs are designed for high precision, productivity, and high-speed machining with
low budget cost. The advanced gantry construction gives the most rigid structure. Dual drive system with four-
linear-guideway design on Y axis provides high-rigidity and high precision. To achieve excellent machining
performance HEIDENHAIN absolute encoders are used for X/Y/Z/A/C axes. This can eliminate the transfer error
from the mechanics and corrected by the control electronics to achieve 5-axis high accuracy machining as well
as precisely fulfill the complex machining demands.
Features include all linear roller ways on all axes that ensure fast linear movement plus optimum rigidity during
cutting. All high-density cast-iron construction with ribbed frame and wide stance machine base provides
excellent support and damping character. The pre-tensioned class C3, ball screws are used in X/Y/Z axes. All
servo motors are direct coupled to ball screws. It increases sensitivity of movement; meanwhile, it reduces the
backlash dramatically.
The 25 HP, 15,000 rpm, high torque digital spindle motor produces high torque machining capability in low-
speed and a better finish surface in high-speed. The spindle uses direct coupling with the motor, for less
vibration, noise, and less thermal expansion satisfying most cutting condition for your applications. The spindle
uses direct coupling with motor, no belt, or any transmission in between. Therefore, it runs quietly and has less
vibration with less thermal expansion. It would satisfy most cutting conditions for your application. The spindle air
purge design built up a positive air pressure preventing contamination of the spindle.
Meanwhile, the standard accessories that come with this machine are one lift-up conveyor that provides efficient
chips management, oil skimmer, and chip flushing bring this machine more value than competitors.
